Three 3-minute rounds now separate Francis and Samuel in their GRPL Choke-Only Submission Wrestling rematch — two Italian judokas who already know exactly what the other feels like on the mat. Their first GRPL meeting was fought over one continuous 8-minute round. This time, the structure changes completely. Francis and Samuel have three separate rounds of 3 minutes, creating more urgency, more opportunities to adjust between rounds, and far less time to wait for the perfect opening. The biggest difference from their first fight is experience against each other. Francis already knows what it feels like to deal with Samuel’s heavier frame and physical presence. Samuel has already felt Francis’ timing and greater overall experience. Neither fighter enters blind anymore. They have both had the chance to think about the first match, identify mistakes, and decide what needs to change in the rematch. Francis remains the older and more experienced judoka. Samuel remains younger and heavier. But those differences no longer exist only on paper — both fighters have now tested them against each other under the GRPL ruleset. This rematch is fought under GRPL Choke-Only Submission Wrestlin
