The first fight answered one question. The rematch creates several new ones. Francis and Lukas meet again in GRPL Choke-Only Submission Wrestling, but this time the format changes completely: three separate rounds of 4 minutes, giving both judokas repeated chances to adjust, reset, and find a better answer than in their first encounter. Their original matchup was built around a clear contrast. Lukas brought the sharper technical game, while Francis entered as the visibly stronger and more muscular fighter. Now both already know exactly how that difference feels in a live GRPL match. That changes the dynamic immediately. Lukas no longer has to discover Francis’ physical pressure for the first time. He knows how strong the clinches can feel, how difficult certain scrambles can become, and how important clean timing is when giving up strength. Francis also enters with new information. He has already experienced Lukas’ technical movement, positioning, and ability to create opportunities without relying on raw power. This time, strength alone will not be enough — he has to turn physical control into successful choke attacks across multiple rounds.
